Lifehunt Scythe is at least still very useful in PvE if you take some time to make it work. After the buffs it's at least usable. As for PvP, if someone gets hit by lifehunt scythe then take a moment and see if they're ok because there might be a head injury involved. An exaggeration, but you really do have to almost try to get hit by it.
