You should only do lore during holidays or if you're just bored, crafting is the better option. Her drop rates are horrible but you may get lucky, I got pigsie after 5 days of farming for its tc. Many people go weeks or even months without getting the spell they want though so if you decide to farm don't get your hopes up.

I've heard a few different things - that Loremaster will no longer drop spellements and those will only be dropped by Gold Key bosses (oh, yes, and all bosses will be Gold key, no more Wood or Stone keys), but I thought I saw somewhere that Loremaster was going to be behind a gold key.

No she doesn’t drop any spells at all other than loremaster itself. Even seasonal ones have been switched to spelements

Since the release of spellements KI has updated them to allow players to unlock and upgrade them with spellements available from Loremaster and Yuletide packs. It wouldn't stop farming, but would guarantee you got what you wanted.
